k@ from Paris, France

Aww, love that image... the natural framing with the branch like a curl of hair on the forehead of your photo. And the atmosphere in this superb mono (like yesterday's)... an enchantment & contemplative poem, Pavan.

DESPITE STRAIGHT LINES from Canada &, United Kingdom

I just submitted a message Pavan, but it did not post, tried again and the same thing.

So I'll try once more and say a big thank you my freind. The photograph today is simply awesome, all about the framing, captured in a style that is subtle and skillful and beyond the comprehension of a lot of people who would not see the big picture and utilise composition to it's full potential. It's a stunning frame of delicate simplicity, masterfully presented in mono with the eye of a truly talented photographer behind it. My wife and I often watch BBC wildlife and nature programmes, and they are a great inspiration when the cameraman behind the lens dabbles with exquisite detail and breathtaking angles, displaying his prowess as only a photographer who loves what he does, who cares about what he sees and captures, can do. You, my friend, have that eye and skill, and I have always learned a great deal from your work. I wish this were one of my frames.

26 May 2011 3:48pm

@DESPITE STRAIGHT LINES: Thank you Paul. I have met a few wonderful people here whose hearts and souls shine through in their words and images, and you are one of them my friend. Your words and your work means a great deal to me and I am lucky to benefit from it. Thank you:)

Dutch from Neverwhere, United States

You have the wide open waters and yet you have managed to make them see more intimate by looking through the trees. What could seem far away is drawn closer also with this method. Very intimate.

Rick from Toronto, Canada

Firstly, if I am the Rick who is benefitting from your very classy dedication above, you have my heartfelt thank you. What a kind and generous person you are. This photo is wonderfully nuanced and "alive" : I feel the wind in those dangling branches and I see the wake from that boat, subtle in stillness and the fisherman does what I wish I could be doing right this minute. But wait! I am... I am placed here because of your camera. :-)

26 May 2011 5:08pm

@Rick: But of course it is you Rick:) Thank you!

It looks like it's going to rain in this picture. Or it's just black and white? But, the sky looks gray- like it's going to rain...? however, the man standing in the boat give a meaning in this picture... nice shot!
