A Dangerous Evil...

Posted by
Pavan Kaul (Mumbai, India) on 11 December 2010 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.
~Albert Einstein

The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it.

SOUL AFLAME from The bosom of Mother Nature, United Kingdom

Thoughts of 'Htchcocks 'The birds' come to mind when I see those black eyes, and yet these are such beautiful birds in their own right. A wonderful frame, Pavan with an angle that feels ominous and evil, mono offering little to distinguish in the tones and shades within that black plumage, thus we concentrate on the darkness itself, and teamed with the quotes the piece works so wonderfully well. Always such accomplished presentations my friend. Have a lovely weekend.

Agreed, once more here, your words of Peace are such a delight to share here, Pavan. This image is deep. The bird is so dark & so sweet. No evil here. But around, sure. Let's be active not to let the evilesque ones can think they have power. Often they are lil suffering kids not conscious of how sick they are. They sure have to be stopped. And healed. Love this bird & how you work with the light.

Superb close up of this bird. I like your capture of the glint in its eye. The light you get here places the crow in a twilight world. "In the twilight there is no difference between the absence of darkness and the absence of light." (Night Watch – Sergey Lukyanenko)

In Chinese culture, crows are synonymous with "filial piety".
We were told that crows are the only bird that will look after their parents when they get old.
I am not sure it's scientifically accurate or not.

What captivating eye and expression!!! Magical shot Pavan and your choice of tone is brilliant! He doesn't look really evil though... rather a fellow of wit to me!:-) Agree to your quotes... but so often the "evil" is actually in our inner self; it is for ourself to strive for deterring it! Wishing you a bright and beautiful Sunday!:-)

A most excellent quote and in spite of my not thinking these birds evil, the tone in which you took this photo has very dark undertones to it that well compliments the quote.

Superb Shot. Such wonderful words to support it. We all agree with it, but most of us too can do not much about it. I think if we can take care of the evil within ourselves it's half the job done. Cheers Pavan! Thanks for passing by.
