Les Miserables...(5)

Posted by
Pavan Kaul (Mumbai, India) on 15 May 2010 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

"If there's another way to go
I missed it twenty long years ago
My life was a war that could never be won
They gave me a number and murdered Valjean
When they chained me and left me for dead
Just for stealing a mouthful of bread..."

'What have I done?' from Les Miserables.

A system that fails to provide the population with basics, a system that denies children the joy of childhood, a system that fails to deliver justice and equal opportunity, a system that serves only the few who serve it or run it....such a system is a crime against humanity and must be condemned!

Nitin from Milano, Italy

Another beautiful picture Pavan. To me it seems like "Poetry in Motion" and "A fine balance". And when I think of that title it reminds me of the book by Rohinton Mistry with the same name. I'm sure you must have read it, and it's one of my favorite books. I was also reading your fav books on your blog and they are so similar to what I read. So if you haven't read this one you should once you finish Shantaram :) Cheers again. Nitin
