I don't know what it is, but discarded tyres always make me so mad. You have captured the ugliness of it with your title and the strong focus on man's left overs.

An incredibly beautiful shot in the top 80% of the frame. Then we have to deal with the reality of the automobile: old tires, pollution, drilling for oil, etc. And it will only get worse until we can no longer afford the gasoline.

A paradoxical image of the best sort : one that makes a statement and gives us pause. Beauty and the Beast, indeed. I've always enjoyed Thoreau; if only he knew what we would be able to do with our atmosphere and the orbital regions around this planet, filled with increasing amounts of space junk.

A rubber wheel on the beach ... is something you always find on the beaches. It hurts!

Yes, it's like we constantly have to remind ourselves of our existence :( I love the water on the sand and the reflections of the clouds. An otherwise pristine and peaceful scene.
