Fishing In Troubled Waters 2.Posted by Pavan Kaul (Mumbai, India) on 5 November 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. A different crop and processing on yet another earlier post....
What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything? A film maker from India who has keenly nurtured his passion for photography since adolescence. 'AMBROSIA' is what I have named this photoblog, since 'creative expression' is the nectar that nourishes the soul of all creative artists. One can spend a lifetime taking pictures which may eventually add up to just a few hours, but come to think of it, that may just be the sum total of ones life. A camera as a companion is an absolute must..be it movie, or still." © Pavan Kaul /Ambrosia . All rights reserved.

Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesI prefer this tighter crop, Paven. Your silhouetted subject has a more prominent position in the crop - yet the powerful feeling of his desolation in relation to the sea remains. I also detect the second fisherman which I missed in the original post. A powerful image. 5 Nov 2009 5:37am k@ from Paris, FranceOh, i just begin my stroll among today's images and I already feel this one will be one of my fav, Pavan ! It's a gorgeous silverish emotion you offer with this strongly shining one - bravo ! The silhouette is at her best place, love it*** 5 Nov 2009 6:14am Scott F. Great processing and composition. The person on the rocks simply adds that final touch - beautiful. 5 Nov 2009 9:11am Mhélène from Paris, FranceThis so small silhouette with these dark rocks and sea is a superb photo !!! 5 Nov 2009 10:57am Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceLike this little human being alone in this silver sea... a great feeling of freedom... 5 Nov 2009 11:18am Bishop from Houston, United StatesGreat use of contrast in this pic, great composition... the pic really brings out the smallness of the person in relation to the huge scope of nature, but at the same time he, like most of us, seems to be entirely unaffected by what he is standing against! :) 5 Nov 2009 4:20pm Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesThe water looks like liquid metal. The silhouetted fisherman seems to be concentrating on his task and not noticing all the beauty around him. An excellent image. 5 Nov 2009 4:35pm Stephane Themeze from Maryland, United StatesMagnifificent! The man and the element. The silvery sea surrounding the fisherman is just marvellous. A real nice sense of scale. A beauty! 5 Nov 2009 6:39pm 6ft5 from stockholm, SwedenLove the glitter of the ocean and the solitary fisherman.
