Good Evening!Posted by Pavan Kaul (Mumbai, India) on 26 June 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. A film maker from India who has keenly nurtured his passion for photography since adolescence. 'AMBROSIA' is what I have named this photoblog, since 'creative expression' is the nectar that nourishes the soul of all creative artists. One can spend a lifetime taking pictures which may eventually add up to just a few hours, but come to think of it, that may just be the sum total of ones life. A camera as a companion is an absolute must..be it movie, or still." © Pavan Kaul /Ambrosia . All rights reserved.

Ian Bramham from Manchester, United Kingdomvery firey tone Pavan!....well done! I've been looking out for ages for a similar scene to this that I can photograph for myself but I want to get the setting sun in the background which really limits the opportunities. 26 Jun 2009 7:28am @Ian Bramham: I know what you mean Ian and going by your track record, I'm sure I'll see it on one of your future posts:) Jason Kravitz from Brussels, Belgiumbeautiful evening it is - fire in the sky is an appropriate metaphor as a film-maker, how do you find shooting on location and waiting for perfect moments like this? Like Ian says, you can seek out this type of shot for quite a while before you are treated to it - I suppose many bigger budget films these days would just create it with lighting but there something to be said for getting the real thing! 26 Jun 2009 8:20am @Jason Kravitz: Many thanks for your appreciation Jason! As for your query, I quite enjoy the process, patience being one of the first pre-requisites for a film-maker...most of our time on shoots is spent waiting things to turn up, be it the stars or then nature (the 'right' light conditions)! Although DI has made our life significantly simpler these days! But then, as you say ' nothing like getting the real thing..'! mohkum from Muscat, OmanPavan it is a lovely shot! The colour satuaration and the clouds make this image great 26 Jun 2009 8:27am amirreza from tehran, IranWhat photo is hot and pokey 26 Jun 2009 10:38am Mathilde Collot from Fontainebleau, FranceShadow grass against an incredible sky!
