Same Same But Different:)Posted by Pavan Kaul (Mumbai, India) on 23 June 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Just thought I'd try this in monochrome...If you've seen the color do let me know which one you prefer. A note to all my wonderful friends at Aminus3: Being a bit caught up with work these days I apologize to you all for being unable to visit your pictures as regularly as I'd like to and thank you for your wonderful, valued comments:) A film maker from India who has keenly nurtured his passion for photography since adolescence. 'AMBROSIA' is what I have named this photoblog, since 'creative expression' is the nectar that nourishes the soul of all creative artists. One can spend a lifetime taking pictures which may eventually add up to just a few hours, but come to think of it, that may just be the sum total of ones life. Standley from Carquefou, FranceWhat a wonderful composition Pavan! 23 Jun 2009 8:59am mohkum from Muscat, OmanI think the framing gets more attention here in mono. Wonderful look! 23 Jun 2009 9:06am Giovanni from Milan, ItalyExcellent monochromatic image!! I prefer this version. Great shot! 23 Jun 2009 10:55am Dan Creighton from Pottstown, United StatesI much prefer this version. It has mood which the other one lacks. My first impression was "storm coming". 23 Jun 2009 3:07pm hugo poon from hong kong, Hong KongThis is awesome Pavan... especially that "timeless" feel! Yet, after going back and forth quite a few times, I must say that the exceptional beauty of the colour version appeals to me slightly more!:-) 23 Jun 2009 3:09pm @hugo poon: Thank you Hugo:) You take care too Buddy! eva from Rouen, FranceI can't choice ! it's so different ! it's the same at nigth ! a different pleasure... 23 Jun 2009 5:18pm Imaginerf from TROYES, FranceLooking at this one, I think I prefer it because the graphism is really artistic ! 23 Jun 2009 8:55pm lux from Munich, GermanyBoth are nice, but I like the monochrome better. Nice place, by the way. 23 Jun 2009 9:06pm Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesLove this. I think I like this better. However, I would like a bit more shadow detail in the beautiful trees. 23 Jun 2009 10:18pm Ajay from Pune, IndiaIsn't that a song from a movie? We are same same but different. 24 Jun 2009 4:47pm bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaWow...the monochrome version has such a cinematic quality. 24 Jun 2009 8:23pm Mithun Varma from Bangalore, IndiaWithout doubt I prefer the colored one :) I feel the last one was more or less a treat for the eyes! 25 Jun 2009 4:07am Scott Schilling from San Martin, United Statesthis is great also - I love the waves and the contrast with the dark trees is great also! I can't choose! 25 Jun 2009 4:37am Ian Bramham from Manchester, United KingdomI much prefer this one Pavan! It has a great feeling of stormy weather....really well processed. 25 Jun 2009 3:04pm Jason Kravitz from Brussels, BelgiumI prefer this one as well - gives it a sort of moody evening looks and to me seems much more out of the ordinary than the color version 26 Jun 2009 8:22am @Jason Kravitz: Thank you Jason! Bertrand from Paris, FranceWonderfull shoot. I like very much the contrast and the shadow. Good view and good light. Great job 26 Jun 2009 5:22pm 24x36mm from Toronto, ON, CanadaI prefer the monochrome version because it has a distant feeling of eternity. 8 Jul 2009 5:23pm |
