From Here To Eternity

"Life comes before literature, as the material always comes before the work. The hills are full of marble before the world blooms with statues." Philips Brooks

Framed this one from a very low almost ground level in an effort to create an illusion of nearness between the foreground and the snow peaks at infinity. One had to begin early as the snow peaks are shrouded by clouds that rise up from the valleys as soon as the sun warms up the landscape.

A film maker from India who has keenly nurtured his passion for photography since adolescence.

'AMBROSIA' is what I have named this photoblog, since 'creative expression' is the nectar that nourishes the soul of all creative artists. One can spend a lifetime taking pictures which may eventually add up to just a few hours, but come to think of it, that may just be the sum total of ones life. A camera as a companion is an absolute must..be it movie, or still."

MMC Photos from THE COLONY, United States

Very nice contrast between the range of mountains in the back and the rock in the front. To me the foreground on the left seems out of focus some, but it is still a great photo.

11 May 2009 2:53am

@MMC Photos: Thank you for the comment. My focus is actually on the snow peaks in the distance and whatever sharpness there is on the foreground is due to the depth available at that aperture...was not really a concern:)
